Mosaic Theater Company of DC announces an eclectic lineup for the 2018-2019 season, offering serious comic release alongside searing indictment; sustaining its commitment to local writers alongside its long-running Voices from a Changing Middle East Festival, while championing intercultural encounters and honoring iconic figures in African-American culture. In addition, Season Four is the first season to achieve gender parity for Mosaic's playwrights: four of the plays are written by men, and four by women.

Following a successful 23rd Annual Festival of New Musicals held in NYC Oct. 27-28. The National Alliance for Musical Theatre held a party at Southern Hospitality. This year's Festival attaracted over 650 people representing 300 organizations from around the country including Europe attending the eight new musicals that were presented. Charlotte audiences can look forward to more than 30 special attractions representing the best music, comedy, and theatrical events available that are featured on the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center's 2009-10 season. They will also have additional opportunities to attend the best shows Broadway has to offer, as the Center announced today the extension of three of its Broadway shows with an extra week of The Aluminum Show, Jersey Boys, and Mary Poppins.
