Season three of “BMF” resumes the storyline inspired by brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory (Demetrius Flenory, Jr.) and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory (Da’Vinchi), who established one of the most infamous crime families in the country known as, Black Mafia Family. We kick off Season Three in the early ’90s. Watch the video trailer now!

The Keenan Scott II play, directed by Steven H. Broadnax III has tried its hardest to safely navigate the current health crisis, even putting the playwright on stage with script this past Tuesday evening, but eventually was not able to continue under the unfortunate conditions of Covid exposure in the city and country.

Just before its opening night on Broadway, Good Morning America went behind the scenes of Thoughts of a Colored Man, the first Broadway play in history to be written and directed by Black men, and to include a cast of all Black men. Watch the interview with the play's cast and creatives now!

Mack gave thanks to playwright and Broadway’s newest voice, Keenan Scott II, and in honor of the first performance, Luke James sang and acapella blessing to the cast and the production and to all the Broadway theaters and their casts.

In partnership with the YMCA of Greater New York, Thoughts of a Colored Man hosted a Youth and Community event at the Castle Hill YMCA in the Bronx and the North Brooklyn YMCA where there was a Mobile Barbershop ready to treat community members to free haircuts.

Mr. Pritchett replaces originally announced Keith David.  A private family matter has caused Mr. David to depart the production.

Tuesday night marked the first day of rehearsals for the new Broadway play “Thoughts of a Colored Man” by Keenan Scott II. To celebrate the event, The Shubert Organization hosted a cocktail reception at their legendary JJ Shubert Penthouse atop Sardi’s Building.

Casting has been completed for the upcoming Broadway premiere of Thoughts of a Colored Man with Bjorn DuPaty and Garrett Turner joining as understudies. Rehearsals begin Tuesday, September 7th. 

Black Mafia Family, set to premiere on Starz, follows the Black Mafia Family, a drug and money laundering organization. The show stars Russell Hornsby as Charles Flenory, Steve Harris as Detective Bryant, Demetrius Flenory Jr. as Demetrius Flenory, Da'Vinchi as Terry Flenory, and more.

Today, producers Brian Moreland, Ron Simons, Diana DiMenna, Samira Wiley, Sheryl Lee Ralph, The Shubert Organization, and The Nederlander Organization announced complete casting for Thoughts of a Colored Man, the new play by Keenan Scott II, directed by Steve H. Broadnax III.
