The Royal Shakespeare Company has today announced details of its Winter 2020 programme which includes a newly commissioned series of Tales for Winter running from Saturday 5 December 2020 to Saturday 23 January 2021.

?The 100th anniversary of one of the most extraordinary Christmas events in history will be celebrated with the world premiere of SOLDIER'S CHRISTMAS, a new play by award-winning playwright Phil Paradis, at Northern Kentucky University, tonight, December 12-21.

A violin that has been made to commemorate 100 years since the start of the First World War, named The Wilfred Owen Violin, will be used during a special Christmas Eve performance of Phil Porter's new play, The Christmas Truce at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon.
