Anthony M Rodriguez

Anthony M. Rodriguez is a Chicago-based woodwind doubler who is proficient in piccolo, flute, ethnic flutes, oboes, English horn, saxophones and clarinets. He studied these instruments while attaining his Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Brooklyn College under the esteemed Bernard Goldberg (Flute), Bob Ingliss (Oboe), and Paul Cohen (Saxophone). Previous instructors have also included Helen Campo (flute), Edino Biaggi (Oboe) and Salim Washington (saxophone/woodwinds).

In 2012, he was invited to join the “Phantom of the Opera” International Tour for their run in Jakarta, Indonesia. Following the successful run of the show, he returned to the United States and joined Northern Stage in White River Junction, Vermont for both of their main stage musicals of the 2012-2013 season.

Upon completion of this run in Vermont, Anthony relocated to Chicago, Illinois performing in a variety of theaters, such as Music Theater Works, Metropolis, Porchlight and Drury Lane. While in Chicago he held the position of Musicians Union TMA Secretary/Treasurer as well as serving as the woodwind coach for the CYSO.

In 2019, Anthony was asked to join the 1st National tour of “The SpongeBob Musical” as their reed player.

Anthony is also an active Music Director and is always looking to expand on his skills
