​​​​​​​The Virginia Theatre Festival, the professional summer theatre at the University of Virginia, will present a love story for the ages with Ken Ludwig's Dear Jack, Dear Louise, opening July 21 at the Helms Theatre.

The Virginia Theatre Festival has announced that its upcoming production of Ken Ludwig's Dear Jack, Dear Louise, the heartwarming two-person play about a World War II courtship conducted entirely by mail, will star Suzannah Herschkowitz and Jordan Sobel. 

Premiere Stages at Kean University will present Tammy Ryan's The Wake July 11-28 in Kean University's Bauer Boucher Theatre Center (Vaughn Eames Hall, 1000 Morris Avenue, Union, N.J.). Recently selected from 659 submissions as the winner of the 2019 Premiere Play Festival, The Wake will feature actors James Gushue, Wayne Maugans, Kathy McCafferty and Kelley Rae O'Donnell. John J. Wooten, producing artistic director of Premiere Stages, directs.

The performance will run approximately 3 hours, with one intermission.
