Falsettos is a Tony Award-winning musical with music and lyrics by William Finn and James Lapine, telling the story of a modern Jewish family navigating love, identity, and change in late-1970s and early-1980s New York City. At its center is Marvin, who leaves his wife to pursue a relationship with his lover, Whizzer, setting in motion a journey that reshapes the lives of everyone around him. As the family navigates shifting relationships, a son's bar mitzvah, and the emerging AIDS crisis, they discover that family is defined not only by blood, but also by chosen community. The production is directed by Craig Tyrl, Founder and Artistic Director of The Wayward Artist.
