Florida Theatrical Association presents the brand new musical JOYCE JACKSON'S GUIDE TO DATING at The Abbey in downtown Orlando, August 4 through 14. With book and lyrics by Scott Logsdon and music by Steve Marzullo, the musical was one of the winners of FTA's 2016 New Musical Discovery Series. BroadwayWorld has a behind-the-scenes look below!

It's 1958 and the "Girl Most Likely to Succeed" decides to pen a "How To" dating manual designed to help her less fortunate classmates find the boys of their dreams while saving democracy at the same time. In JOYCE JACKSON'S GUIDE TO DATING, a funny and pointed musical parody of an actual dating manual from the 1950s, audiences will find out if the class wallflower might bloom, if a cheerleader dating a nerd could ever spell success, and if the Big Man on Campus and his ambitious girl can show R-E-S-T-R-A-I-N-T.

The role of the popular and ambitious Joyce Jackson will be played by Alexa Hope Neilen, with Bobby Hogan playing the dreamboat, Mix Lawrence. The role of wallflower Nancy Dale will be played by Eva Gluck, with Ricky Cona as class clown Ted Cook, Amelia Bryant as the eccentric Frieda MacDougal, Marissa Ann Volpe as fun-loving Louise Benedict, and Jenna Coleman as the bubbly, but not-so-bright Betty Miller.

JOYCE JACKSON'S GUIDE TO DATING is directed by Tony Award winning producer Kenny Howard, with costumes by Kyla Swanberg, lighting by Roy Brown and set design by Bonnie Sprung.

Tickets for JOYCE JACKSON'S GUIDE TO DATING at The Abbey are $25 for General Admission and $40 for VIP, which includes reserved table seating and a complimentary glass of wine. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at www.TicketFly.com.
