The Orlando Repertory Thetare presents A Sideways Series Production of The Giver, book by Lois Lowry, and adapted by Eric Coble. The show will close on February 29.

Imagine a perfect world with no poverty, no crime, no sickness, no unemployment and no unhappiness. What would you trade to live in that idyllic society? Lois Lowry's Newbery Medal-winning book, The Giver, examines the idea that people might freely choose to give up their humanity in order to create a more stable civilization. In this compelling drama, 12-year-old Jonas learns just how costly this ordered and painfree society can be and boldly decides he cannot pay the price. What's the Sideways Series? The Sideways Series showcases plays with new or lesser known titles, that encourage dialogue between young people and adults. The REP works in collaboration with the UCF Theatre for Young Audiences graduate program on this series.

Tickets range in price from $11-$17 and can be purchased by clicking here. More information can be obtained about the Orlando Repertory Theatre by visiting www.orlandorep.com.
