The opening night celebration of PLATO's inaugural production "Moonlight and Magnolias" at the Golden Apple Dinner Theatre will be held tonight, May 17 at 6:00 pm.

The schedule: 6:00 pm - hors d'oeuvres and complimentary beverages; 6:30 pm - southern-style dinner with cash bar; 8:00 pm - "Moonlight and Magnolias" by Ron Hutchinson.

David O. Selznick is determined to rewrite Gone with the Wind. He engages the services of "script doctor" Ben Hecht, who has never read the book, and director Victor Fleming, poached straight from the set of The Wizard of Oz. An insight into 1930s Hollywood and an epic of laughter ? starring Chris Caswell, Ryan Fitts, Alana Opie and B. J. Wilkes, directed by Carole Kleinberg.

Post-show includes a dessert reception with the cast and creative team.

Tickets are $70 each, including a $30 tax-deductible donation which will help support PLATO, Inc.'s educational and community outreach programs.
