Mad Cow Theatre announces The Understudy, playing August 5 through August 28, 2011 in it's intimate Stage Right.

From the author of the hit comedy Bad Dates comes a bitingly witty and entertaining look behind the scenes of the acting world.

When a Hollywood action star who is trying to prove himself in a serious Broadway play comes up against a new understudy with a chip on his shoulder and a tangled romantic past, the results are hilarious. Theresa Rebeck pokes affectionate fun at the inner workings of the world of the theatre in this smart new comedy.

Timothy Williams makes his Mad Cow Theatre directing debut with The Understudy. The cast includes Brian Brightman as Jake, Michele Feren as Roxanne, and Josh Geohagan as Harry.

The creative team includes William Elliott as Scenic Designer, John Hemphill as Lighting Designer, Grayson Tate as Costume Designer, and Kurt Wagner as Sound Designer.

Tickets are available online at madcowtheatre.com and by calling the Mad Cow Theatre box office at 407.297.8788 x1.
