Joan Squires Elected To Broadway League Leadership Position

Joan Squires, Omaha Performing Arts president, has been elected to a two-year term on the Broadway League's 49-member Board of Governors.
The New York-based national trade association has more than 700 members that include theatre owners, operators, producers, presenters and general managers in North American cities. Each year League members bring Broadway to more than 30 million people in New York and more than 200 cities across the U.S. and Canada.
Squires has been active with the Broadway League for many years. Last spring, she received the League's Samuel J. Hommedieu Award for Outstanding Achievement in Presenter Management, in recognition of her contributions and exemplary service to the Broadway industry.
She is also a member of the League's Intra-Industry Committee, Audience Engagement Committee, the League's Legislative Council and the JIMMY AWARDS Advisory Board and will serve as co-chair for the Spring Road Conference in May.
