Are transitions a beginning or an ending?  They’re both.  The entrance is the exit. 

BalletCollective, the acclaimed New York-based interdisciplinary arts nonprofit known for its collaborative model, will present its 2024 season in New York, NY between October 30 - November 1.  Named The Entrance is the Exit, it will feature two world premiere ballets that creatively inspect the duality of change and the connections between endings and beginnings, as interpreted by leaders in fields ranging from architecture to ballet to contemporary music to visual art.  The acclaimed commission from 2023, The World We Left Behind, will join the premieres on the program as well. 

Each performance will feature live musical accompaniment and take place in an intimate theater in the round.

The following dancers are cast in BalletCollective’s 2024 Season; all are from New York City Ballet: Alexa Maxwell, Andrew Veyette, Ashley Hod Veyette, David Gabriel, Devin Alberda, Dominika Afanasenkov, Kennedy Targosz, Olivia Boisson, Preston Chamblee, Sebastian Villarini-Velez.

Founded in 2010 by New York City Ballet Soloist Troy Schumacher, the arts nonprofit asks not what ballet is, but what it can be—partnering with both emerging and established art makers and thought leaders in a deeply collaborative, original process to make forward-thinking ballet-based works.

BalletCollective exclusively performs original work and has partnered with a roster of over 280 acclaimed artists, architects, authors, choreographers, composers, musicians, designers, and dancers to date.
