Their relationship is ultimately tested when a poet, Brett, from Susan's past comes to Montana raising doubts for what is truly right for her. He tries to convince her to receive the proper treatment, which may or may not include a disappointed Erma. This dramatic piece never fails to question the methods practiced to revive the human spirit from the clutches of great tragedy.
