Valerie Smaldone gets NAKED IN A FISHBOWL At SoHo Playhouse Through 8/23

On Monday, August 23, Valerie Smaldone, award winning radio personality and current host of Valerie's New York on WOR710.com will get Naked in a Fishbowl. Ms. Smaldone will join Katharine Heller, Brenna Palughi, Lynne Rosenberg, and Lauren Seikaly on stage for the wildly popular unscripted comedy Naked in a Fishbowl at NYC's SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street). Due to overwhelming critical and audience response, the unscripted and hilarious episodic comedy Naked in a Fishbowl was extended through August 23rd (originally set to close August 9th). The show will return after a brief hiatus for an open-ended run at the SoHo Playhouse beginning Monday, September 27, 2010 at 7PM. Valerie Smaldone is a 5-time Billboard Magazine Award winner and is well known for her unprecedented success holding the #1 on air position in the New York radio market. Currently, she can be heard on her daily talk show, Valerie's New York, which she hosts and produces for WOR710.com. She has hosted, produced and created numerous nationally syndicated programs featuring in-depth interviews with top recording artists such as Paul McCartney, Celine Dion, Rod Stewart, Phil Collins, and Mariah Carey, among others. Valerie can be heard on a variety of commercials and television promos. Presented by Dragonchase Productions, Naked in a Fishbowl is directed by Hugh Sinclair and stars Katharine Heller, Brenna Palughi, Lynne Rosenberg and Lauren Seikaly, and features Daliya Karnofsky and Molly Knefel. The unscripted, uninhibited stage sitcom wowed New York audiences during the 2007 NY International Fringe Festival, and the cast was presented with the Outstanding Ensemble Award and hailed as the "brightest lights of the festival."

This breakthrough show is the first web sitcom to be filmed in front of a live audience, blurring the lines between theater, TV, and webisodes. Episodes have been viewed and downloaded from all over the world and this season the ladies are featured on iTunes and Blip TV.
