The Irish Arts Center presents the New York return of Dublin-based Fishamble: The New Play Company (Sebastian Barry's The Pride of Parnell Street) with their critically acclaimed production of FORGOTTEN, written by and starring Pat Kinevane and directed by Fishamble Artistic Director Jim Culleton. FORGOTTEN begins previews on Wednesday, February 17 for a limited engagement through Sunday, March 7. The performance schedule is Wednesday - Saturday at 8 PM; and Sunday at 3 PM. Opening Night is Friday, February 19 at 8 PM. Tickets are $38 ($30 for IAC Members). FORGOTTEN takes place at the Irish Arts Center (553 West 51st Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues). Tickets can be purchased by calling SmartTix at 212-868-4444 or at www.smarttix.com. For more information, visit www.irishartscenter.org.

FORGOTTEN follows four characters, between the ages of 80-100 years old, who reside in retirement homes around Ireland. 1943 was a curious year for this quartet - their lives have never been the same since... This hauntingly dark yet startlingly hilarious play brings to life the heroic challenges, loves and dreams of these people living on the fringe of society.

Dublin's award-winning Fishamble: The New Play Company, returns to New York for this special limited engagement following their recent triumphant Off Broadway production of Sebastian Barry's The Pride of Parnell Street.

This captivating production was called "One of the most unexpectedly witty and dramatically rewarding works of the theater you are likely to attend this year... Rarely less than electrifying!" by the Irish Voice. The Irish Times said it was "captivating, moving, and - yes - even unforgettable." And The Scotsman gave it 5 stars, calling it "an incredibly moving piece of theatre...immediate and compelling...unequivocally beautiful."

Fishamble premiered FORGOTTEN in Dublin in 2007, where it was nominated for an Irish Times Theatre Award. Since then, it has toured extensively in Ireland and to Paris, Prague, Sibiu, Iceland and Edinburgh.
