Triskelion Arts With James And JF Present CHANNEL ONE 10/11, 10/18, 10/25, 11/1
TRISKELION ARTS in association with JAMES AND JF present CHANNEL ONE on Mondays at 8pm.
October 11th, 18th, 25th and November 1st.
In a future world where there are only two sisters left, boredom reigns free. Nothing matters and there's nothing to do. That is until they happen upon a group of people who seem to want to watch something called TV. What is TV? And how do the sisters give the people what they want? Well, shows are created. A channel is born. It's Channel One. That's how.
After a successful run with sold out shows at the New York Clown Theatre Festival at The Brick, Channel One is back for more. There will be guest stars gracing the stage, and all new material from James and JF.
PAST PRESS:
"No doubt about it, these two ladies have winning comedic timing, both alone and together. They each come to the party with a arsenal of characters in their sack and each personification is as convincing as it is varied." Read full review: Happiest Medium

BIOS
Company:
James and JF
James and JF is comprised of Emily James and Ishah Janssen-Faith. They came together as an entity at the end of 2009, after having worked together as part of a larger clown company since 2006. They conjoined with the express purpose of making people laugh with their specific and often absurd brands of observational/imaginary humor. They created Channel One as their first foray onto the stage as this new entity. Channel One has been created over the first part of 2010 and performed in pieces at HERE, The Magnet, Hi Christina, The Moon, Performancy Forum, Galapagos, Bowery Poetry Club and The Tank. The full-length show premiered as part of The New York Clown Theatre Festival at The Brick.
Ishah Janssen-Faith is a performer, clown and writer. She trained for two years with Philippe Gaulier as well as Mick Barnfather, John Wright and members of Theatre de Complicité. In London, she created and performed shows with Bouillabaisse & Silent Noise. In NYC, she has performed various solo clown pieces at HERE, New York Downtown Clown Revue, The Moon and Galapagos. Since 2006, she has created and performed original shows with her company, Coffee Cup, at PS122, Access Theater and Collective:Unconscious; and is part of Clowns Ex Machina, performing at LaMama.
TRISKELION ARTS has a two-fold mission as a 501(c)3, non-profit organization: To foster the development and presentation of the performing arts by providing quality, affordable, accessible rehearsal, class, and performance space to the general public and to provide opportunities to the arts community, including resident companies, for the creation and presentation of new work.
This program is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.
