The WorkShop Theater Company presents its spring fundraiser on Friday, April 29th at 8 pm at The Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South) with a performance-on-book of Eleemosynary by Lee Blessing.

This critically acclaimed play probes the relationship of three singular women: the grandmother, Dorothea, who has defined her independence through eccentricity; her brilliant daughter, Artemis (Artie), who has fled the stifling domination of her mother; and Artie's daughter, Echo, a child of exceptional intellect and sensitivity whom Artie has abandoned to an upbringing by Dorothea.

Katrin Hilbe (Richard Wagner's Ring Cycle--Bayreuth Festival; Fractal Summernight--Castle Werdenberg) directs and WorkShop members Charlotte Hampden (A Perfect Ganesh; Gunhild-- OOBR Award), Lucy McMichael (Dare and Knife Point--Sundance 2009, and the critically acclaimed Ascension--Theatre Row), and Katie Yamulla (Two Gentlemen of Verona--Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival; Figaro/Figaro-- re: directions Theater Co.) comprise the cast.

Tickets: $50 First Two Rows; $25 General Seating. Wine and Cheese reception to follow. Tickets can be purchased online at https://www.ovationtix.com/trs/pr/821765 or by calling 866-811-4111.
