DANCE at THE TANK 2010 kicks off SPRING SEASON PERFORMANCES. The Tank is located at 354 W. 45th Street, New York, NY 10036. You can take the A, C, E, to 42nd Street; 1, 2, 3, S, 7 to Time Square.

The Tank is proud to announce dates and special events for its New Works and Resurrection series.
New Works presents the new work of emerging choreographers and facilitates dialogue through feedback sessions and Q&A. New Works is curated by Alexandra Albrecht and Jeso O'Neill. All tickets $12 General/$10 Students with Valid I.D.

Resurrection brings your short-lived dance back from the dead. Re-present it and engage in an artist/audience Q&A about the evolution of the work. Resurrection is curated by Alexandra Albrecht. All tickets $12 General/$10 Students with Valid I.D.

May 6 & 7, 7:30 pm Upstairs - Lizzie Karr

Lizzie Karr's "Space Garbage" is about a group of space people with fabulous hair who respond to trash intrusions in their environment. A collaborative creation of San Francisco artists in contemporary dance, video art, electronic music, and sculpture.

March 4 & 5, 7:30 pm Upstairs - Ben Asriel

Ben Asriel's I Hate Naked is two women onstage with a camera and two televisions. Watching, talking, reënacting, reliving, reminiscing, playing, prying, discovering, revealing, dancing, experiencing, expecting-living for a moment on display for you.

Disposable Goods: An evening of Big Action Performance Ensemble (Big APE)

March 5 & 6, 7:30pm Downstairs
$12 General Admission/ $10 Student

Disposable Goods is an examination of consumption and a portrait of excess. The latest evening length production from Big Action Performance Ensemble (Big APE) illuminates the obsessive cycle of waste in our culture and questions who and what are deemed expendable.

Bushed: A Gay Wars Premiere & Cabaret

Artistic Director Mathew Heggem curates an evening of serious sex & debauchery by experimental cabaret artists. Performers include Emma Batman, Ashely Brockington & Monstah Black with stars of the infamous Cabaret Caterplexy, Audrey Ellis & Chris Hollowell, Sea Glass with Wendell Cooper & guests, and a world premiere of Heggem's Gay Wars - a portraiture of dueling American queer archetypes. Sunday's panel moderated by award-winning arts writer, editor & educator Brian McCormick.
