The Picture Show at Bay Street Returns to Bay Street Theatre this Fall

Although times are tough, Bay Street continues to bring the community low cost entertainment options like The Picture Show and fabulous family programming such as KidStreet Live Performances. With ticket prices as low as $5, don't miss these ever popular activities that are sure to warm your hearts on the cold days of fall and winter.

Bay Street Theatre is proud to announce the return of its classic film series, The Picture Show at Bay Street, sponsored in part by Reilly Windows and Doors. These classic films are presented as they were meant to be seen-on the big screen, and will run most Friday and Saturday evenings. The doors open at 7:30 and films start at 8pm. Tickets are $5.

Films start the weekend of September 18th and 19th with Lionel Barrymore Weekend. Friday, September 18th will feature "You Can't Take It With You" and Saturday, September 19th, "Grand Hotel".

The American Hotel will again offer a $25 "Dinner and A Movie" prix fixe package, which includes a 3-course dinner and a ticket to the film. Dinner reservations should be made by calling the hotel directly at 631-725-3535.

The first of Bay Street's LIVE KidStreet Performances sponsored in part by Suffolk County National Bank is set for Saturday, October 3rd at 3pm. Join silent film musician Ben Model as he uses a mix of music and sound effects that is sure to thrill kids of all ages in their first ‘Silent Film' experience! Tickets are $10 for both adults and children.

On Saturday, October 17th at 11am join Bay Street as they welcome The Bradley True Silly Science Band to the stage! This band will perform an interactive, fun-filled concert bringing cool concepts in science to light through music, theatrics and audience participation! Doors open at 10:30am, Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children.

Don't Miss Brady Rymer & Friends on Sunday, November 1st at 3pm. Brady's rollicking, roots-y tunes resonate through American culture, bringing an honest, joyful spirit to music for all generations! Doors open at 2:30pm, Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children.

Mark your calendars for some Thanksgiving Weekend Fun as Bay Street rings in the holiday with Hot Peas ‘N Butter! On Saturday, November 28th at 11am and 1pm bring the family for this unique children's musical group that incorporates elements of traditional Latin music, Afro-Caribbean rhythms, jazz, folk, and rock. Hot Peas ‘N Butter were winners of both the 2006 and 2008 "Parent's Choice Awards". Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children.
