The Joust Theatre Company to Stage Dipika Guha's THE RULES, 2/12-21
When Ana (Isabelle Van Vleet), Julia (Mikele Hogan) and Mehr (Zoe Curzi) all fall in love with the same mysterious man (Andrew Carr), these old friends must reexamine the rules of love, friendship, and how we communicate in our technologically saturated world. Dipika Guha's The Rules is a "late coming of age story" following Ana, as she redefines how she views herself, her closest friends, and what it means to love.
Dipika Guha, the current inaugural winner of the Shakespeare's Sister Fellowship, was born in Calcutta and raised in India, Russia and the United Kingdom. She studied English Literature at University College London, was a Frank Knox Fellow at Harvard University and received her MFA from the Yale School of Drama under Paula Vogel. Cynthia Silver is an actress, teacher and director. Hailed by the New York Times as "an American Bridget Jones," Cynthia Silver is an ensemble member of Partial Comfort Productions, a faculty member at Atlantic Acting School and starred in BRIDEZILLA STRIKES BACK!, co-written with Kenny Finkle and winner of FringeNYC's Overall Excellence Award for Outstanding Solo Show.
