The Brick Presents CONFESS YOUR BUBBLE, 6/21-30

By:

Playwright Matthew Freeman and director Kyle Ancowitz (The Theater Accident) return to The Brick with CONFESS YOUR BUBBLE. Their previous appearances include the much-ballyhooed productions of Glee Club and An Interview with the Author and That Old Soft Shoe.

In CONFESS YOUR BUBBLE, Senator Carl Corpuscle, a Democratic Senator from the Great State of Washington (not D.C.) presents a court-mandated address about his life in government to local high school students, in order to satisfy the terms of a plea bargain. Attendance is not mandatory, and only students over 17 may attend. Senator Corpuscle discusses his role in the Democratic Administration, delivers a civics lesson, and offers dire warnings—with slides to illustrate his points.

CONFESS YOUR BUBBLE, written by Matthew Freeman. Directed by Kyle Ancowitz. Featuring Steven Burns (“Steve” from Nickelodeon’s Blues Clues).

CONFESS YOUR BUBBLE will play as part of THE DEMOCRACY FESTIVAL, June 21-30th at The Brick (575 Metropolitan Avenue between Union and Lorimer).
