TWO ROOMS Comes To The Access Theater

A new production of Lee Blessing's "Two Rooms" will be brought to life at the Access Theater, August 1st through August 5th.

Directed by André Vauthey, a young doctor-turned-actor/director, and Rotem Weiner, the play tells the story of Lainie (Francesca Ravera), wife of an American hostage, Michael (Ryan Cobb), held by a group of terrorists in Beirut. Lainie has stripped of furniture one room in their home in the United States, so that she can connect, at least symbolically, with her husband. The same room serves in fact for both, and for the imaginary conversations between the hostage and his wife, plus it is the setting for the real meetings she has with Walker (Isaac Miller), an ambitious reporter who tries to prod the wife into taking umbrage at what he labels government ineptitude and inaction, and Ellen (Maya Jasmine), a coolly efficient State department official, who tries to treat the matter with professional detachment.

The show begins at 7:30 pm on August 2, 3 and 4 and at 2 pm in August 5 at the Access Theater, 380 Broadway, New York, NY 10013. Tickets can be reserved at www.two_rooms_accesstheater.eventbrite.com
