TROILUS AND CRESSIDA Plays Under St. Marks

From the world's most produced playwright, William Shakespeare, comes Troilus and Cressida-a romantic tragedy gone rogue. Director Calvin Atkinson will be producing this gritty and sexy dystopian take on the Bard's tale of survival through love and war this November 15-18 at Under St. Marks Theater.

Joining this production is a diverse assembly of New York based actors. Troilus will be played by Reece Santos, and Cressida will be played by Brenda Wacuka Njoroge. The event will also feature performers Brian Culbertson (Achilles), Derek Herman (Patroclus/Helen), Jovani Zambrano (Hector), Carolina Korth (Pandarus), Casterline Vilar (Ajax), Anna Lou Hearn (Ulysses/Cassandra), Dionna Eshleman (Thersites), Taylor Curtis (Agamemnon), Anthony Paglia (Paris/Menelaus), Jianzi Colón-Soto (Aeneas/Priam), and Logan Hurd (Diomedes).

"The Trojans and Greeks are fiercely divided. But the play is not about hatred. It's about living life fully in divisive times," says Director Calvin Atkinson. "It's about honor. It's about death. Trying to find normalcy in the face of turmoil. Loving through it all."
