THE ELEPHANT MAN And CLAIRE AND THE ORNITHOLOGICAL SHADOW Come To Dog Run Rep This Summer

No.11 Productions presents two offerings as part of their summer residency @Seaport!  The Elephant Man – The Musical is a comedy in which John Merrick (the Elephant Man) breaks through the social barriers his deformity forces him to deal with and finally gets his dream of singing and dancing on Broadway.  This irreverent musical celebrates the idea that if you dream big, big things are going to happen.  After all,  “Ever’body wants their life to be a musical.”  The cast features Ryan Emmons, Haley Greenstein, Roger Mulligan and Ira Sargent.  

Claire and the Ornithological Shadow is an original shadow play that is being revived after a successful run at the Bushwick Starr last December.  “The sweetness of No.11's vision and the way it comes to fruition already distinguishes this young company from the rest of the pack. Catch a ride from them on the wings of this whimsical production and take a gratifying flight of fancy” says nytheatre.com.  Excellent for both children and adults, Claire weaves performance, shadow play, puppetry, and live music into a simple yet beautiful production that reminds us that change is not always as hard as it seems and that magic is all around us.
