THE CONFESSION Receives Staged Reading in Platform Group's Ladder Series Today, 8/26
The Confession will receive a staged reading in The Platform Group's Ladder Series: A Staged Reading Series Aimed at Getting New Plays to the Next Rung. Out of more than 100 submissions, ten new plays will receive a staged reading at The Creek and Cave in Long Island City, NY. The Ladder series started in July and continues into early October.
Today, August 26, 2012 at 1pm, The Platform Group will present The Confession by Will Arbery (A BURIAL, PAULA & STROM). The play is a dark comedy involving a relationship that develops between two priests. The staged readings will be directed by Ilana Becker (Assistant Director Broadway, Reasons to be Pretty). The cast includes Daniel Marcus (Broadway's 1776, Woman in White, Pal Joey, Urinetown), Harrison Unger (The Awakening), Christopher Norwood, and Trent Dawson (As the World Turns 3x Emmy nomination).The Creek and Cave is located at 10-93 Jackson Avenue, Long Island City, NY. The reading will be followed by a talkback with the playwright, director, and cast. $7 Tickets. All ticket sales will go towards future Platform Group programming. The Platform Group is a New York Theatre Company formed in early 2010 run by Shara Ashley Zeiger. Platform's mission is to produce work that excites, inspires and provides a place to stand on.
