Food For Thought Productions, the award-winning theatre, opens its new season at The Players (16 Gramercy Park South) on March 20th.

Tony Award winner Richard Easton kicks off the season in Agatha Christie's one-act play called "The Patient" along with Susan Charlotte's "The Pirates." Both plays, directed by Antony Marsellis, are mysteries but of a very different sort. Christie, in her inimitable manner, has written an entertaining and suspenseful Who-Done-It play. There is a patient who doesn't speak and a cast of characters who have plenty to say. Charlotte's play revolves around a man and a woman at a dinner party who each have a story to tell. The man is convinced that his story is the more interesting of the two, until he hears what the woman has to say and then he can hardly finish his tale of pirates, knives and a near-death experience!

There are twelve shows in total, which include the wickedly funny "The Lover" by Nobel Prize winner Harold Pinter, starring Tony Nominees Tony Roberts and Penny Fuller on May 1. On May 23rd Food For Thought presents the hilarious one-act, "The Man Who Couldn't Stop Crying" by Oscar Nominee Murray Schisgal, starring Tony Nominee Bob Dishy.

All shows begin at 2pm and are followed by a Q &A with the cast and director as well as a reception.
