Reena Shah Directs, Stars in Staged Reading of IMPERFECTLY FRANK Tonight

Screen and stage actress, Reena Shah, will direct and star in the staged reading of Seth Freeman's short play, IMPERFECTLY FRANK, tonight, June 24th at 7pm, part of The Puzzle-a new play festival at the historic Marble Collegiate Church in New York City.

Reena Shah is known worldwide as the voice of Sita in the award-winning animated feature film, SITA SINGS THE BLUES, as well as the Independent films, ASHES, AMERICAN CHAI, STAY UNTIL TOMORROW, FUNNY VALENTINE, and THE LUCKY ONES. Her stage credits include her portrayal of Mukhtar Mai in SEVEN at La MaMa, 365 DAYS/365 PLAYS at The Public Theatre, and THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES at the Arthur Seelen Theatre. Music fans will also know Reena from performing with her husband, singer/musician/composer Todd Michaelsen, in the rock band, My Pet Dragon.

Seth Freeman is an award-winning writer whose plays have been presented worldwide. He has worked in print, screen and television, creating most recently, the series LINCOLN HEIGHTS.

The cast also includes Rajeev Varma (D'ARRANGED MARRIAGE, BLUE ROSE) as Rajiv, Adeel Ahmed as Franklin, and Lipica Shah (BUNTY BERMAN PRESENTS) as Julia.

Joining IMPERFECTLY FRANK on June 24th are three other short plays: HORST AND GRABEN IN THE CONTEXT OF THE UNFINISHED MAN by Jeffrey Gold, GOING UP by Robert J. Daria, and KEN AND BARBIE'S ROOT BEER by Kent Forsberg.

The Puzzle: Marble's Festival of New Work runs June 24th through June 29th and is produced by Brian Hampton with artistic direction by Marya Spring Cordes. All performances are located at Marble Collegiate Church in New York City at 29th Street and 5th Avenue.
