About The Show
Puppet Playlist takes brilliant puppeteers and talented musicians and slams them together into an evening of live theater to stir the senses. In the almost two years since the show has been running, we've featured numerous talented singers covering songs by our theme musicians. Many of them are wonderful songwriters in their own right. This month, the participating puppeteers will collaborate directly with musicians who have performed at Playlists past to create original pieces in a show we're calling Puppet Playlist Does Puppet Playlist. Puppet Playlist is a bi-monthly evening of puppetry and music by some of New York's most interesting puppeteers and singer-songwriters. Each show has a theme inspired by a musician or band (so far we've had Tom Waits, The Magnetic Fields, David Bowie, The Seven Deadly Sins, Country Music, They Might Be Giants and Prince & Queen [The Royalty Show]). The puppeteers create original pieces based on songs by our theme pick, and in between the acts, alternating with live covers of the music.
So far, every show we've done has sold-out, so be sure to reserve your ticket in advance.
