The award-winning Titan Theatre Company opened its 2015/16 Season with Oscar Wilde's delightful and romantic romp THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST directed by Broadway Veteran Terry Layman. The limited NYC engagement runs through November 8th, 2015, at the Queens Theater, where Titan is the official Theatre-in-Residence. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

Everything we all love about comedy-romance, music, poetry, laughter, mistaken identity and great characters, are all present in 'EARNEST', a play that is considered one of the greatest comedies ever written. Two bachelor friends, the adorable dandy Algernon Moncrieff, and the utterly reliable John Worthing lead double lives to court the attentions of the exquisitely desirable Gwendolen Fairfax and Cecily Cardew. The gallants must then grapple with the riotous consequences of their deceptions, and with the formidable Lady Bracknell.

The powerhouse cast features Joseph Jefferson Award Winner Angela Iannone as Lady Bracknell, Ellen Adair (TV: The Slap, Nurse Jackie, Veep) as Gwendolyn Fairfax, Marc LeVasseur (Red Bull Theatre, Pearl Theatre, Flea Theatre) as Jack Worthing, John Patrick Driscoll (TV: The Following, The Blacklist, Hostages) as Dr. Chausible, with Titan Artistic Director Lenny Banovez making a return to the Titan stage as Algernon Moncrieff. The cast is rounded out with Titan Alums Maggie Wetzel as Cecily Cardew, Greg Oliver Bodine as Lane/Merriman, and Titan newcomer Christy Richardson as Miss Prism.

The creative team includes Sandy Yaklin (Scenic Design), Natalie Loveland (Costume Design), Katy Atwell (Lighting Design), Eric Frankiln (Sound Design), Nicholas Sotack (Choreographer), Ashley Zednick (Production Stage Manager) and is produced by Titan Managing Director Kevin Beebee.

Titan is located in Queens Theatre, which is nestled on the grounds of the historic World's Fair, located at 14 United Nations Ave S in Queens, New York. A complimentary shuttle to the theatre is available to patrons from the Mets-Willets Point stop on the 7 train. Tickets and information can be found at www.TitanTheatreCompany.com.
