No 11 Productions Presents A Free Production Of LYSISTRATA In The Bronx 8/3
No.11 Productions presents Lysistrata at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. This sharp, witty and timely adaptation is accessible to theatergoers of all ages. The women of Athens, led by Lysistrata, "refuse to open the gates of Greece." The men have quite a hard time as they battle the women for a little loving attention as well as funding for the war. This production is a farcical, fresh, fun and family friendly look at Aristophanes' hysterical play.
No.11 Productions is a not-for-profit theatre company based in New York City dedicated to creating Theatre of the Unexpected. No.11 is an ensemble of theatre artists continuously learning, growing and becoming as a company. We strive to create a wide variety of theatre that inspires audiences to becomeactive participants in the world. Asymptotically working towards truth, we are dedicated to constantly questioning our world by presenting different perspectives - we juxtapose seeming reality with the unexpected.
