THE LITTLE RED LIGHTHOUSE AND THE GREAT GRAY BRIDGE -- A NEW MUSICAL will debut a selection from the show at the Little Red Lighthouse Festival on Saturday October 11 at 2pm. This will take place at the actual site of the Little Red Lighthouse, located at the foot of the George Washington Bridge in Upper Manhattan.

This new musical is adapted from the 1942 children's book of the same title, by Hildegrade H. Swift and Lynd Ward. This timeless classic tells the story of the Little Red Lighthouse who felt important and useful until the Great Gray Bridge (based on the George Washington Bridge) was built. Then he felt very, very small and no longer needed. The Great Gray Bridge explains, "Each to his own place little brother!" urging the Little Red Lighthouse to see that everyone, no matter how small, has a purpose.

With musical direction by Jeff Biering (TheatreWorks USA), the cast will feature Brian Childers (Helen Hayes Award Winner for Danny Kaye) as the Man/Narrator, Michal Salonia (Fezziwig in Steve Wargo's A Christmas Carol) as the Little Red Lighthouse, and Jessica Ann Carp (Playground) as the Great Gray Bridge. Carp is also the composer of this musical.
