Lanessa Long will be performing her one-act "Nobody's Really Helped Me" at the United Solo Theatre Festival on September 29. It is a one-woman musical-comedy that journeys through the melodramas that make up being 22 and on the cliffs of severe unknowns. Through fast and fluid piano riffs and character-packed vocals, Lanessa takes us through songs and stories of modern womanhood, relationships, art, education, and what to do on a quest for identity amidst angst. She has put this show up at the Curious Comedy Theater in Portland, the Free Festival at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland, as well as selling out multiple shows, being selected as the Best of the Broadwater, and being nominated for the Larry Cornwall Award for Musical Excellence at the 2018 Hollywood Fringe Festival.
