Musicals Ink Theater Announces NEVERMORE: THE MUSICAL, 10/29
Musicals ink is taking a "grass roots", independent approach to funding its premier production, Nevermore: The Musical, by "breaking the fourth wall" and turning to the audience to ask, "Would you like to see this type of show?" Musicals ink feels that this type of funding gives the audience a voice in the type of shows that get produced; allowing the theatergoer themselves get involved and help out those productions they believe in.
Anyone who would like to see Nevermore: The Musical in a complete production or simply likes the concept is urged to donate in small denominations that start as low as $10 at www.Kickstarter.com or visit the official site www.Nevermorethemusical.com, where the donation link can also be found. Anyone who donates regardless of their donation amount will receive a special thank you gift from the creators and production team.
Nevermore: The Musical combines the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the poems of Edgar Allan Poe edited, adapted, and arranged by Stephen Sweeney, with script by Stephen Sweeney based on the short stories: Fall of the House of Usher, The Raven, The Pit and the Pendulum, and Masque of the Red Death. Nevermore: The Musical is aiming to open October 29th 2010 to run through November 20th 2010.
