Secret Theatre Musicals and Richard Mazda, Producer, present the legendary Broadway musical A CHORUS LINE at The Secret Theatre in Long Island City, opening tonight, January 28, for a three-week run.

The Equity Showcase production is being presented in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the landmark show, which originally opened on Broadway in November of 1975.

The Secret Theatre's production will be directed by Tom Rowan, a leading authority on the musical and author of the book A CHORUS LINE FAQ, the definitive history of the show in its many incarnations, which was published in September by Applause Theatre and Cinema Books.

Evan Zavada is the musical director, and the original Michael Bennett choreography will be restaged by choreographer Geena Quintos, who played Connie in the musical's most recent national tour.

The production will star Matthew LaBanca and Jennifer Knox. Matthew LaBanca will play director/choreographer Zach; he appeared on Broadway in Young Frankenstein (going on frequently in the lead role of Dr. Frankenstein) and Irving Berlin's White Christmas; his national tour credits include The King and I and Crazy for You. Jennifer Knox will play Cassie ("The Music and the Mirror"). She just returned from a season with the Tuacahn Amphitheatre in Utah. Her credits include Demeter in a national tour of Cats, Ellie in Showboat with Goodspeed Musicals, and leads in regional revivals of Sugar, Chicago and Damn Yankees.

The cast also includes Kelly Barberito (Vicky), Adrian Grace Bumpas (Kristine), Sarah DeNight (Tricia), Madeline Fansler (Sheila), Devon Frieder (Val), Drew Michael Gardner (Paul), Shiori Ichikawa (Connie), Kevin Lagasse (Roy), Loulu Luzi (Judy), Markus McClain (Mark), Geoffrey Mergele (Greg), Amanda Phillips (Maggie), Joe Pudetti (Al), Geena Quintos (Diana), Caleb Schaaf (Bobby), Jonny Stein (Mike), and Anthony Wright (Richie).

The Secret Theatre is located at 44-02 23rd Street in Long Island City, just one subway stop from Manhattan. A CHORUS LINE will run January 28 to February 14; tickets are $18. The complete performance schedule and ticket information will be available soon at www.secrettheatre.com.
