A staged reading of Brecht's Duchess of Malfi featuring Mary Bacon, John Daggett, Francesca Faridany, Delphi Harrington, David Landon, Alex Morf, Alexander Sovronsky, Elliot Villar, and Nick Westrate will take place at the Theater at St. Clement's on Monday, March 22 at 7:30pm.

Directed by Ian Strasfogel, the Brecht and Auden play is an adaptation of John Webster's The Duchess of Malfi. In conjunction with this production is Red Bull Theatre's Revelation Readings presentation of The Dutchess of Malfi through March 28.  Tickets are $20- $80 and can be purchased by visiting www.redbulltheater.com or by calling 212.414.5168.

A great romance turns to horror as the Duchess of Malfi seeks true love in a world of forbidden passions. A play for our time as much as its own, John Webster's The Duchess of Malfi examines sexual repression, honor, class, and the true value of the human spirit, in this explosive drama of Italian intrigue. Red Bull Theater's production is the first Off Broadway revival of this Jacobean masterpiece in over 50 years.  The cast includes: Heidi Armbruster, Jason C. Brown, Clark Carmichael, Keith Hamilton Cobb, Matthew Greer, Carol Halstead, Eric Hoffmann, Patrick Page, Matthew Rauch, Christina Rouner, Gareth Saxe, and Haynes Thigpen.
