The fourth season of New York Theatre Barn's The Choreography Lab continues on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 2pm at The Cell. The Choreography Lab is the only curated choreography platform where choreographers and writers collaborate to develop movement for new musicals during incubation.

The prompt for the November 6th lab is called: 4 Musicals / Conceived by 4 Choreographers. Four choreographers create, develop, and present a number from a new musical they conceive through dance. Since this lab is about a choreographer conceiving a new musical from the ground up, the lab's guest moderator will be writer/director Marc Acito, who is the bookwriter of Allegiance and Chasing Rainbows, and is the bookwriter/co-lyricist of the hit musical Bastard Jones which played Off-Broadway this past summer. The featured choreographers are Christian Bufford, Sonia Dawkins, Jennifer Delac, and Briana Fallon. Lab consultant Christopher Noffke will also serve as a lab moderator.

Curated by Avital Asuleen, The Choreography Lab works to elevate and expand the use of dance in musical theatre. The lab's unique programming supports choreographer development, fosters collaboration between writers and choreographers earlier in the creative process, and serves as an educational forum where all parties can strengthen and specify how dance can be used to convey story and character.

The Cell is located at 338 West 23rd Street in New York City. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door, and can be purchased on New York Theatre Barn's website: www.nytheatrebarn.org. Seating is limited.

New York Theatre Barn is a Manhattan-based non-profit theatre company, founded in 2007, dedicated to incubating and producing new musicals that tell untold stories. Our stories are inspired by the lives of real people and actual events that challenge our preconceived ideas, and promote inclusion and positive social change. In today's divisive political and social climate, we believe that now more than ever, these types of stories need to be seen and heard by more people. For more information: www.nytheatrebarn.org.
