MISTER JACK & DON JUAN'S FINAL NIGHT Opens 8/12

THE OPEN BOOK is delighted to announce that the opening if its double bill production of MISTER JACK by MARVIN KAYE and the short one- act DON JUAN'S FINAL NIGHT by Edmond Rostand has been rescheduled to open Thursday, August 12th at 8:15 pm. The production will run Thursdays - Saturdays at 8:15 pm and Sundays at 2:45 pm through August 29th. THE DRILLING COMPANY theatre is locate in the old home of the 78th Street Theatre Lab, 236 West 78th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam on the Upper West Side.
Renovations to the second floor theater, where the company has staged many of its past performances, removed access to dressing room and back stage facilities led the company to postpone the new production while it sought out new venue. Performances were origionally scheduled to run April 29th through May 22nd. MISTER JACK is an interactive Don Juan comedy by playwright, novelist and editor Marvin Kaye, cofounder of THE OPEN BOOK. Comedic improvisation is an important part of MISTER JACK. In MISTER JACK the audience is given the opportunity to ask questions about love and sex of the title character who is introduced as "the world's greatest lover."
