Josiah Theatre Works Presents Sneak Peek of SANGIN' THE TEARS AWAY, 6/9

Josiah Theatre Works celebrates its 4th Anniversary with the upcoming world premiere of SANGIN' THE TEARS AWAY, inspired by superstar Natalie Cole. Previews begin July 22 at 2 p.m. with the grand opening set for that same night at 8:30 p.m., following a red carpet honors and reception at 6 p.m. But before the opening, Josiah Theatre works is offering a free sneak preview of the show on June 9 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Operation Hope Center (Harlem Branch), located at 2511 W. 13th St, NYC. (corner of Fredrick Douglass Blvd and 134th). The event will feature free samples of the theatre's unisex fragrance "Exclusively Yours," food, entertainment, business networking, and more.

The world premiere official opening will take place at The Players Theatre, located at 115 Macdougal St., NYC., and will perform in an open-ended run.

Josiah Theatre Works became internationally known just two years ago with the World Premiere Musical "LENA (Black Cinderella)," inspired by the Late Great Lena Horne. From the beginning four years ago, Josiah Theatre Works has specialized in presenting World Premieres to the New York Stage.

SANGIN' THE TEARS AWAY features book, lyrics and direction by Nickolas Long, III (member of the Dramatist Guild of America and the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society) with musical direction by Leon Brown. The show stars Sophia Sayers, Billie Alexis Jones, Shelly Peart, Dean Galley, Yoniery Taveras, Christian Frazier and Justin Anderson. It features costumes by Courtney Newsome, and set, props and stage management by Josiah Theatre Works.
