JACQUES BREL RETURNS Extends Thru May; Gay Marshall To Appear May 25

Jacques Brel RETURNS announced that it will extend its run through May at The Triad, 158 West 72nd Street, NYC. May dates are Wednesday, May 11th and Wednesday, May 25th. Presented by Dan Whitten, Mark Beigelman, Peter Martin and Tiger Theatricals, Jacques Brel RETURNS... is a new cabaret production featuring highlights from Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris as well as Brel songs not in the original score.

In addition to Drama League Honoree Gay Marshall, who was featured in the hit revival at the Zipper Theatre in 2005/06, the May cast will include other performers from The Zipper production including Tamra Hayden (Cabaret, Les Miz) and Musical Director Rick Hip-Flores (Billy Elliott and Jacques Brel) The remaining cast includes Ereni Sevasti (Carnival at The Kennedy Center) and Arlo Hill (City Center Encores)

Created by Dan Whitten, who produced the hit revival and CD in 2006/2007, and featuring musical direction by Rick Hip-Flores, the evening features Jacques Brel favorites including "Carousel," "My Childhood," "If We Only Have Love," "Ne Me Quitte Pas," "The Bulls," "Jackie," "Amsterdam" and "I Loved".

"Having produced the 2006/2007 revival of Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris at The Zipper, it's been rewarding to revisit this material with such an exciting rotating cast of artists," says creator Dan Whitten, "and it's really a thrill to have Gay join the cast!"

Others in the rotating cast include Robert Cuccioli, Jean Brassard, Natascia Diaz, Karen Kohler, Olivia Stevens and Micheline Van Hautem.

Listings Information: Jacques Brel RETURNS plays Wednesday May 11 and Wednesday May 25th at The Triad 158 West 72nd Street. All performances are 8PM. Tickets are $30-40 (Two drink minimum at all performances, cash only.)
