Experience Heartbreak This Holiday Season at Letter of Marque's GIFTS, 12/18-21

By:
Letter of Marque Theater Company's new holiday play, based on the O'Henry's "Gift of the Magi," isn't afraid to be real. "Gifts," looks at the holiday season through the lens of a modern relationship, joys and heartbreaks included. The show picks up where O'Henry's heartwarming tale leaves off, following the young couple from Christmas to Christmas as they learn and re-learn what it means to give, to receive and what they really want for themselves and for each other.

Audience members over the past two weeks have commented on the surprising depth of the piece. "It has balls and brains." commented one theater-goer.

"It's about two people that, like all of us, are trying to figure each other out while also trying to figure themselves out." says writer/director and LoM co-founder Nolan Kennedy. "The show has plenty of holiday magic, but it also has a real, familiar and vulnerable heart."

And unlike most Christmas shows that cut into your holiday season budget, if you RSVP to this one, it's totally free. Letter of Marque offers this production as a "gift" to its audience, fulfilling part of their mission which is to make art accessible to everyone.
