Dr Joy Browne Joins NAKED IN A FISHBOWL 11/14

Naked in a Fishbowl welcomes acclaimed radio host Dr. Joy Browne to the show on November 14th. The fully improvised live sitcom at the Cherry Lane Theater runs through December 5th (dark November 28), debuting a new, outrageous. 1-hour show each week.

"Dr. Joy is one of the most well-known and respected psychologists in the world," said Producer Donna DeStefano. "She is also an avid fan of the theater so we have a perfect combination for a fantastic night with the ladies."

Dr. Joy Browne is a nationally acclaimed, syndicated radio host and licensed clinical psychologist. Her radio program, the longest running of its kind, has been on the WOR Radio Network for nearly 15 years. Her show offers millions of devoted listeners advice on issues ranging from relationships and marriage, finance, work and career. She has won numerous awards for her work including the American Psychological Associations President's Award, the Talkers Magazine award for Best Female Talk Show Host, #10 on the list of the 25 Greatest Radio Talk Show Hosts of All Time, and has been named one of the 100 Most Influential Talk Show Hosts.

Fully improvised and filmed live, Naked in a Fishbowl chronicles the lives of six women in New York City with hilarious, startling, and bare-naked honesty. Fishbowl premiered at the NY International Fringe Festival in 2007. The cast was presented with the Outstanding Ensemble Award and hailed as the "brightest lights of the festival." Since re-launching in 2010, this all-female comedy troupe has delivered "knockout" performances that WCBS calls "Smart, honest, and definitely fearless." They have created over 50 original episodes in front of a live theatre audience. The resulting web series has garnered over 400,000 hits online and is watched in over 80 countries. The company recently returned from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where they created six brand new episodes in six days and were listed among the "Best of the Fest."
