CEW Productions Presents Staged Reading of STOPGAP Today

CEW Productions, the producers of the hit off-broadway musical Mama and her boys will present a staged reading of Stopgap, a new play by Danielle Mohlman.

Directed by Ethan Paulini, Stopgap stars Caitlin Diana Doyle (Shakespeare Theatre's Mrs. Warren's Profession), Jonathan W. Colby (Arena Stage's You Nero), and Annie Golden (Netflix' Orange is the New Black) today, January 28 at 4:30 pm in Snapple Theatre's Studios, 210 W 50th Street 4th Floor New York, NY 10019. Stopgap centers around a young woman who "opts for the concreteness of motherhood when everything else in her life is muddy" (Peter Marks, Washington Post). in a town where white picket fence and 2.5 kids has long been the norm, a prospective single mother, her best friend and his husband try to find their own definitions of "family."

Stopgap was first produced by Field Trip Theatre as part of the 2012 Capital Fringe Festival in Washington DC and was a finalist for the 2012 Larry Neal Writers' Award for Dramatic Writing, awarded by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
