By:

BrooklynONE productions (bkONE) and Dialogue with Three Chords (D3C) team up to present "The Funeral Rites of Country Western Superstars" from playwright Stephen Gracia for brooklynONE's April Reading Series installment. "Funeral Rites..." includes three plays from Gracia and new material written especially for this event, directed by Anthony Marino and Michael LoPorto. The performance is on April 18th at 8pm at LoneStar Bar at 8703 5th Avenue, Brooklyn. Admission is free and donations are welcome. A live performance by singer Tommy Lombardozzi will open the evening's events.

"D3C is a theatre collective that produces staged readings of fresh material," says Stephen Gracia, D3C co-founder and playwright. "Often written the same month it is performed, and with actors that are talented & dedicated enough to be on their feet, scripts in hand after only one rehearsal."

"We are extremely excited to come together with Dialogue with Three Chords and offer such a fantastic night of theatre." Said BrooklynONE Co-founder and Artistic Director Anthony Marino. "We are already looking forward to future collaborations"

Each month brooklynONE produces a reading series at LoneStar Bar featuring new works by playwrights from around the city aiming to diversify and expand the area's artistic palette.

'The Funeral Rites of Country Western Superstars' features Kendra Leigh Landon, Samantha Braga, and Lauren McElroy. 'A Marriage of a Stone to a Tree' features John Harlacher and Kendra Leigh Landon.

'My Love is in Amerikay' features John Panepinto, Guy Michaels, JD Urban, Stephen Fontana, Anthony Noto, Mylene Savoie, Matt Sydney and Rafael Svarin. 'How Will the Dead Remember Us'features Anton Koval and John Harlacher.
