In the world premiere of BROOKLYN BETS ALEXI, by playwright Elizabeth Irwin we experience what life is like for a half white, half Puerto Rican kid as he tries "to pass" in Brooklyn. It makes us asks, how much in our world today, does your race really matter? Can you decide it doesn't? Can it change depending on where you are? Can you borrow someone else's?

BROOKLYN BETS ALEXI will run at the Hudson Guild Theater (441 W. 26th St.) through June 26 with performances at 8pm and an additional 2pm matinee on June 26.

The cast features Gavin-Keith Umeh, Wyatt McBride, Tracy Jennissen, Elizabeth Irwin, Erin Boyd, Manny Liyes, Josh Joya, and Emil Mequita.

BROOKLYN BETS ALEXI is produced by Taryn Anderson with scenic design by Alicia Mangelsdor, costume design by Tara DeVincenzo, lighting design by Ryan Seelig, and sound design by Megan Kosmoski.
