BAWDY! A Benefit For Marriage Equality NY To Be Held At The Triad Theatre On 10/1

The Triad Theatre (158 W. 72nd Street) will host Bawdy!, a raucous evening of Burlesque, Variety, Drag, and knock-your-socks-off production numbers. Hosted by the fishnet clad baritone Jesse Luttrell, Bawdy! will be held on October 1st from 9:00pm-10:30pm. Special guests include Poor Baby Bree, Poppi Kramer, and the devilish Bawdy Dancers, plus the burlesque talents of Layla Lepore, Jewel Reebox, Krystal Charms, Ria Rhinestone and Erin Gellgems.
Tickets cost $15.00 in advance and $20.00 at the door. There is a 2 drink minimum at The Triad (cash only bar). Proceeds benefit Marriage Equality NY.

Her first one-woman show, Weary River, was presented at Don't Tell Mama in 2007-8; her second, I Am Going to Run Away, debuted last March. She has received a Bistro award from Back Stage, a Nightlife award nomination, and a place on Time Out New York critic Adam Feldman's cabaret Top Ten for 2008; she was also the recipient of the magazine's annual special achievement award in 2009. "Poor Baby Bree" has also performed at BAM (in "Laurie & Friends," an evening curated by Laurie Anderson), in the God's Love Will Deliver benefit Folly, and Kenny Melman and Bridget Everett's Our Hit Parade at Joe's Pub. Out of character, Bree recently appeared alongside Julie Halston and Sweetie "as" Susan Strasberg in Tweed Productions' Pic-Up (based on William Inge's Picnic).
