Ars Nova Announces Reading of Peter Sinn Nachtrieb's BOB 5/3

By: Apr. 28, 2010

Ars Nova presents, as part of the Out Loud series, a FREE reading of: BOB by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb, directed by Sean Daniels. The cast includes Matt Dellapina, Angela Goethals, Brett Robinson and Lou Sumral.

BOB
BOB traces the highly unusual life of Bob. From modest beginnings, born and abandoned in the bathroom of a White Castle Restaurant in Louisville, Bob grows up on the outskirts of America, living large on its discarded treasures. But Bob, as confused as he is, must one day fulfill his destiny. Will America embrace him or will they take him down? A side-splitting satire that roasts the American dream, and celebrates its detritus.

Peter Sinn Nachtrieb is a San Francisco-based playwright whose works include boom (TCG's most produced play 2009-10), T.I.C. (Trenchcoat In Common), Hunter Gatherers (2007 ATCA/Steinberg New Play Award, 2007 Will Glickman Prize), Colorado and Multiplex. His work has been seen off-Broadway and across the country including at Ars Nova, where boom received its World Premiere. Peter holds a degree in Theater and Biology from Brown and an MFA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. He likes to promote himself online at www.peternachtrieb.com.

Sean Daniels is in his fouth year as the Associate Artistic Director of Actors Theater of Louisville. He is the former Associate Artistic Director/Resident Director of the California Shakespeare Theater and before that spent a decade as the Artistic Director and Co-Founder of Dad's Garage Theater Company in Atlanta, Ga. He is also an Associate Artist of the Geva Theater Center in Rochester, NY.
