American Globe Theatre Presents MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, Closes 3/20
American Globe Theatre celebrates its' 22nd season as Times Square's longest running classical theatre with MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, the well-beloved comedy by William Shakespeare.
Artistic Director and Shakespearean author John Basil directs.
WHAT: The bard is at his fun-loving best in this raucous comedy. It is a love story full of twists, turns, deception, conspiracy, jealousy and adventure. The play begins with the men returning victorious from war and the women are waiting and ready for romance. All is going smoothly until a jealous brother sets a devastating lie in motion. Suddenly rivals Beatrice and Benedick (who are Shakespeare's poster children for the battle of the sexes) find themselves joining forces to save an innocent girl. With sparkling wit and prose, MUCH ADO illustrates the beauty and complexity of human relationships.
