Dance-a-raoke | HOLIDAY HANGOVER EDITION
Keep that champagne-bubbly feeling going at Dance-a-raoke - 92YTribeca's audience-participation movement sensation! Katharine Heller -- hilarious, sexy and full of spontaneous energy - is this month's guest host, along with the ever-fabulous "Miss Fortune." Together, they host a motley crew of dancers and audience members, who perform tests of stamina, wit, gumption and some awesome dance moves. Heller's "live action romance novel," The Boy in the Basement, was presented at the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival to critical acclaim.

TINY NINJA THEATER PRESENTS: ROMEO AND JULIET
This isn't your high school Shakespeare. Puppeteer Dov Weinstein channels the Bard's greatest works with irreverent interpretations using, well, tiny ninjas. The NYC-based company is dedicated to the principle that "there are no small parts, only small actors." Founded in 1999, Tiny Ninja has wowed crowds from Edinburgh to East 4th Street. "I had noticed that there were these tiny plastic ninjas in vending machines all across the city," says Weinstein, "but no one was using them to perform classical theater. Something had to be done."

NYC SPOKEN WORD SUMMIT feat. DEF POETRY JAM'S RIVES and SPECIAL GUESTS

These iconic poets will convene at 92YTribeca to showcase the style of their home venues, and to bring the fire with electric performances and interviews. Look for love poems, wordplay, audience participation, movie clips, and a sneak preview of Rives' upcoming work: "How to Trespass in New York City."
