This production plays a limited Off-Broadway engagement from October 26 - December 12 at The New Group @ Theatre Row, with Official Opening Night now set for Monday, November 23 at 8:00 PM.

(11/17/2009) - Tarell Alvin McCraney's The Brother/Sister Plays have officially launched at the Public Theater. The series Part 2, The Brothers Size and Marcus; or the Secret of Sweet, directed by Robert O'Hara, began previews on October 21. Part 1, In the red and Brown Water, hits the stage. Tina Landau directs. McCraney, one of America's most acclaimed young writers, returns to The Public to complete his trilogy following the success of The Brothers Size in 2007. Performances will run through December 13.

(11/13/2009) - TACT/The Actors Company Theatre (Scott Alan Evans,Cynthia Harris and Simon Jones, Co-Artistic Directors), the critically-acclaimed company 'dedicated to presenting neglected or rarely produced plays of literary merit,' opens its 17th Anniversary season with The Late Christopher Bean, a sly 1930's comedy by Pulitzer Prize-winner Sidney Howard based upon 'Prenez Garde a la Peinture,' by Rene Fauchois. Directed by TACT Company Member Jenn Thompson, performances began at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Sunday, November 1st, 2009 at 3pm. Opening night was celebrated Wednesday, November 11th at 7:30pm. Performances will continue through Saturday, December 5th.

Opal Alladin, Mia Barron, Marsha Stephanie Blake, Lynn Hawley, Ronete Levenson and Ellen Parker are featured in the production directed by Ken Rus Schmoll, which is the first of LCT3's three productions during the 2009-2010 season.
