(01/19/2013) - Silence! The Musical resumes performances today, January 19th, at the Elektra Theatre in the heart of Times Square. Originally announced as a strictly limited engagement through August 13, 2011, SILENCE! was extended numerous times by popular demand and transferred theatres twice, ultimately landing at the new Elektra Theatre, which was constructed especially for the show. SILENCE! opened at Theatre 80 on July 9, 2011, and spawned a highly successful L.A. production starring Davis Gaines and Christine Lakin. (12/21/2012) - Sometimes in life what is needed most is editing. And so it goes with the Strand's original production of WHAT A GIRL WANTS. The play centers on a group of women preparing for a charity fashion show. Stacks of clothes next to the stage serve as a metaphor for a play that suffers from clutter. There are too many characters spending too much time carrying and hanging up all those clothes. All the words get lost in the back and forth and coming and going.

(12/08/2012) - Aaron Carter celebrated his 25th Birthday last night, Dec. 7, with fans and the cast of The Fantasticks. Carter stars as the boy Matt in The Fantasticks, the world's longest running musical. After The Fantasticks, Carter graced the audience with a couple of songs on the piano. The cast and fans then sang "Happy Birthday" as Carter blew out candles on his cake and fans swarmed the star with gifts and warm wishes for his 25th birthday. The piece won numerous honors at the Kennedy Center, including Best Musical.
